When it comes to the SuperBowl menu for 2014, The beautiful Mrs. Tas took the lead this year, since her favourite quarterback team is playing (The Denver Broncos). We've spent the morning preparing all kinds of goodies, including:

Submarine/hero/hoagie-type sandwiches

Italian meatball and marinara sandwiches

Little Smokies in orange-barbecue sauce

"Hot cocoa" cupcakes with marshmallow frosting

And, of course, various types of chips and crackers, with dips:

Chili-cheese dip (self explanatory, I hope!)

Asiago-garlic dip (from a package she got from a co-worker)

I also made gravlax:

I used sockeye salmon for the first time this year, and am expecting it to be pretty good. The making of gravlax is very well covered in the link above as well as the follow-up links within that topic, so I felt no need to take photos of the preparation. I'll try to get a photo or two of the finished gravlax, though, along with the full SuperBowl spread.

Nothing special where beverages are concerned, just an assortment of pop, some "hard apple cider," beer, coffee and hot cocoa.

What's everyone else doing?

Update: my gravlax turned out quite well, although my knife skills could use some improvement!

You can read about it here, if you want:
