A Black Pepper Tip

Take a small jar and fill with peppercorns and then pour in enough vodka to cover them.  Let the pepper infuse into the vodka.  You can then shake the pepper infusion into foods where you want the flavor of black pepper but perhaps not the black specks, such as in mashed potatoes as you are mashing them.  I have been doing this for years.  I can't remember where I got the tip but it was from one of the cooking shows years ago.

and what is also awesome is taking the black pepper schnapps and drinking it (probably dilute with more vodka to get it to a good taste. blends well with clove schnapps, and is a good old fashioned danish flu remedy.

I'll have to try that and I'll bet if you diluted it some it would also make a good Bloody Mary.

hell yeah it does, but not as good as using red pepper infused vodka Big smile
