1 1/4 cups light brown sugar
3/4 cup soy sauce 1 Tbl sesame oil 1/2 tsp chile flakes 4 cloves minced garlic 2 Tbl fresh minced ginger 3# baby back ribs 3 scallions, green parts, thinly sliced in a large bowl whisk together sugar, soy, oil chile flakes, garlic and ginger with 1/4 cup of water. add ribs and coat well. cover bowl with plastic and marinate at room temp for a hour or so, over overnight in the refer. place the ribs curved side up on a lined sheet pan with baking rack. roast for 30 minutes in a 450 deg over on each side, or until tender while the ribs are roasting add marinade to a sauce pan and bring to a roil and reduce. use this to baste ribs serve with the basting sauce and scallions. |

Hmmmm...I'm thinking this might be awesome done with CSR's in the smoker.
Might even toss some pineapple chunks in there for good measure. |

i bet CSRs would work great with this. we'll probably be having a barbecue this weekend and i will see about trying this. maybe a mix of racks of ribs and CSRs.
