A friend and I have been corresponding privately about this quintessential South African dish, which has roots spreading out all the way from Holland to Malaysia. He found this recipe on an Italian site, which looks to be fairly typical, easy and - above all - delicious.
I'm posting the recipe (as trandlated), so that I can eventually give it a try.

This sounds quite fascinating .. Considering the sweet and savory profile, I think this could be lovely with boneless chicken breasts .. I like the Golden raisin ( sultanas ) or the raisins ( black ) with the lemon juice and mango idea .. Also, instead of a jar of chutney, a home made chutney would be a marvel or even fresh mango perhaps .. Basmati rice would surely be lovely here .. What do you think ? Have a lovely weekend .. |
