Greetings, FOTW members!

We are entering into our ninth month as a forum and have been impressed with what we have achieved so far. We have expanded our culinary library with many of the world's most famed and beloved dishes, and are adding more every week, along with detailed histories, recipes and step-by-step photos of preparation of these wonderful creations. We want to make FOTW the one-stop resource for "foodies" around the world and and are honoured to benefit from your participation!

With fall arriving in the northern hemisphere, it is time to start thinking about those comforting cold-weather foods we all like to enjoy in the warmth of a cozy home. Stop in and post your favourite, or perhaps get some ideas for a meal of your own to enjoy while watching the leaves blow or the snow fall outside your window. Some suggestions would be carbonade flamande from Belgium, Bergens fiskesuppe from Norway, or pasta puttanesca from Italy.

For our friends in the southern hemisphere, spring has sprung and perhaps it is time to post a favourite salad, light meal or outdoor cooking experience. If you're looking for some suggestions, try grilled pears wrapped in bacon from Kiwi in New Zealand, Capetown lamb from South Africa or perhaps Argentinian chimichurri on your next grilled foods.

Of course, so many of our posted recipes can be enjoyed any time and anywhere, and we'd like you to see what we've added over the course of the year! Examples are some wonderful paellas from Spain and many fabulous curries from India. As we grow, we hope that all members can visit, both to learn about other parts of the world and also to teach about their local and regional specialties.
